More photos!
Today we hauled in over 70 pounds of squash - one weekend's worth of growth. Here's the thing about plants - sometimes they move faster than we do.
Yesterday I learned that when a plant is blooming, it's putting effort into its bloom and not into its roots as much. So with flowers like dahlias (many of which are blooming at the farm), it can be hard to transplant them when they're blooming since they're not putting as much energy into their roots.
Just a little food for thought - about where I / we put our energy. Roots or blooms? When is a good time to transplant, and when is a good time to stay put?
Lovely week to all.
